Interships and volunteering

Our activities rely greatly on volunteers and voluntary work. Given the variety of activities at Mandat International, most motivated and competent persons are welcome to work with us.


Conditions:

  • Internships and volunteering are unpaid
  • Interested candidates must be:
    • Motivated
    • Able to legally stay in Switzerland
    • Have health and accident insurance with coverage in Switzerland
  • Aims and conditions of internships and volunteering are specified in a contract

Internships with projects relating to international cooperation:

  • International legal search engine (legal training or education required)
  • Graphic arts

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and French (Spanish and other UN languages are considered an asset)
  • University degree (completed or ongoing)
  • Commitment for at least 3 months full-time (or its equivalent in part-time work)

Volunteering with projects relating to international cooperation:

  • Participating in the organisation of public events

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and French (Spanish and other UN languages are considered an asset)
  • University degree (completed or ongoing)

Internships and IT projects:

  • Master projects (EPFL, UNIGE, HES)
  • Development, mainly HTML5, php, java and mysql
  • Webmastering
  • Server management
  • Installation of hardware and network management

Requirements:

  • Good ICT skills

 

Internships with the projects:

We develop and participate in various projects, notably European research projects, and welcome university students for two types of activities:

Fundraising and project management: We welcome interns to participate in the conception of projects and the redaction of fundraising dossiers. The interns can, in some cases, be associated with the management of successful projects. These internships require a good level of English.
 
Research: We welcome interns to participate in ongoing research projects, notably within the European research projects. These internships generally require either good IT skills, or good social and economic sciences skills.
